Art students should not have to reinvent the wheel. Fortunately, a lineage of art geniuses have passed their discoveries and inspiration down to us, and I consider it a privilege and a delight to gather these gems and continue to pass them on.
I’ve taught art classes and workshops to adults, teens and children since about 2005 in various venues including the Idyllwild Arts Academy and Summer Program, the Desert Art Center in Palm Springs, the Create Center for the Arts in Palm Desert, the Annenberg Estate, Several country clubs in Greater Palm Springs, at home, on Zoom, and in the great outdoors.

Current Classes:
Basic Drawing: 9:00 to noon, at the Desert Art Center in Palm Springs. $35 for one, or $120 for four. The four don’t need to be consecutive. There is no particular sequence, you can start at any time. I can supply a materials list. Class starts with a warm-up of gesture drawing. We do a different lesson each week in no particular order, drop-ins are welcome. $35 for one, $120 for four. The four don’t have to be consecutive. You can pay when you come. A materials list is attached. Beginning, intermediate and advanced students can all benefit from this class.
Painting in oil and/or Acrylic: Students can all benefit from this class. Create Center in Palm Desert: Thursday afternoons, 1:00 to 4:00. $40 for one $140 for four classes. Pay when you come. The four classes don’t have to be consecutive. Register in advance online, or just show up if you have difficulty registering online. (text or email me in advance, 951-212-3783.) Please sign in at the front desk when you arrive. Everyone works on a painting of their own choice, with individual input from me. I can bring a still-life if you request it in advance. I also demo and explain my step-by-step method.
